1. Tourette's syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by motor and vocal tics. Tics are usually sudden and repetitive movements or sounds that some people make unintentionally.

7. Although the tics are involuntary, it is not true to say that it is uncontrollable. Some individuals with TS are able to hold back their tics for a few hours.
