Top 10 Awkward Places to Lose Wedding Rings

Recent stories of miraculous findings inspired me to write this article. People have lost rings that are over $1000 and are of great sentiments. They would move heaven and earth to find the lost ring as if it was a Lord of the Rings movie.

1. Dog's Stomach:

A recent news article emerged on the internet regarding a couple finding a $4500 ring in their dog's stomach. The ring was discovered by a vet, lodged deep inside the dog's stomach. The couple searched for the ring everywhere but never suspected their dog.

2. Bushes:

Luke Stephen lost his ring in the bushes while doing gardening. He could not find the ring for 15 years and moved cities during the disappearance. The new owner, 15 years later, found the ring while adjusting Christmas lights. The day she found it was 1 day before Stephen's 42nd anniversary.

3. Egypt:

Helen Halik was packing shopping bags for her customers at Gerrand's Cross when she lost her ring. The ring was not found anywhere in the supermarket; it was found in Egypt. A phone rang for her at work which traced back to a man in Egypt. Halik was packing bags for someone going to Egypt. The ring was stuck to a pudding, the woman was transporting to Egypt.

4. Stripper's underwear:

This can happen, especially if you are Marcy Rhodes D'Arcy. Marcy went to a male strip club on Married with Children and lost her wedding band ring down the man's underwear. She frantically went looking for it and had the stripper come to her neighbour's house to drop it off.

5. City worker's house:

This is really fate. Kelly and Sue Murrow were newlyweds when Kelly lost his ring in 1991. 20 years later a city worker finds Kelly and tells him about the lost ring. The city worker brought the ring home to clean and forgot about it until 20 years later. WOW!

6. Anchor:

A New Zealand man lost his wedding ring while at the harbour. It flew off his hand and in to the air. Everyone looked everywhere, especially marking the spot where it could have been with an anchor. After an extensive 16 month search, the ring was found on the same anchor.

7. Tip Jar:

Audrae Stephen lost her ring while putting it in her wallet. When trying to give a tip at Starbucks she put her wedding ring in it.

8. Garbage:

This is also not an unusual case to happen. I know at least one person who was throwing away garbage when he lost his wedding ring band. Good luck finding it! Although a sanitation committee found a lost ring in 10 tons of trash in Asbury in 2009.

9. School:

Mary and Ben Dybala had been married for 50 years when they found their ring they lost 30 years ago in 2004. The ring was found in the yard at a Catholic School.

10. Halloween treats:

In 2009, a child received a ring as a Halloween treat in Cincinnati. It was lost while tossing candy into bags.

Top 10 Worst Products Sold By Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons is one of the most popular places to go in Canada to get coffee. It has the good and the bad, which sometimes angers customers. Here is the list of the bad. I worked in Tim Hortons for 7 years. I've seen it all and tasted it all.

1. Steeped Tea

Steeped Tea was a refreshing idea introduced by Tim Hortons. However, not many customers opt for the tea. Many still wish to buy bagged teas. Sadly, Tim Hortons decided to charge the same amount for bagged teas as steeped teas. This means that the only difference between an XL and Small bagged tea is the amount of water.

2. Breakfast Sandwich:

Tim Hortons introduced its breakfast program to compete with various other fast food businesses such as McDonald's. The problem with this is that it is not healthy and nutritious. Processed cheese and bacon are the most fattening items. An additional problem stems from the fact that the food items come frozen, including eggs.

3. Fruit Smoothie:

The smoothie was a good publicity stunt by the marketing department. However, the smoothie is not made from real fruit. They rather use fruit juices to add flavour to their smoothies. These juices are not Tropicana; they are a Tim Hortons' brand.

4. Lemon Glazed

Caked donuts are not the most popular. To boost sales they added a lemon flavoured cake donut. These donuts were disgusting and thankfully discontinued. This was one way Tim Hortons tried to implement something innovative but failed.

5. Chicken Stew:

This tasted beyond disgusting. It was not selling and many businesses lost money making it every day and throwing it away. Its beef stew counterpart was fabulous. Sadly, they did not keep the latter instead.

6. French Onion Soup:

This soup tastes like the one that you microwave for dinner. It is quite blend in taste and is watered down.

7. Apple Cider Donut:

This has a disgusting taste as well. The donut is not made with real apples like apple fritter. There is some kind of flavour that gives you a horrible after taste. I prefer the drink over this donut any time.

8. Coffee Cake:

They were discontinued from many stores. They did not taste well and lacked sugar. I am not surprised many owners pulled the plug on them. They were not selling at all.

9. Onion Bagel:

This was one of the worst bagels they ever introduced. Onion bagels were hardly selling and when you picked them up, they were stale and hard. I tried one a couple of years back and the onion was hardly tastable. Discontinued!

10. Pumpkin Spice Muffin:

The pumpkin here was good, but I cannot say the same for the spices. They also added some glaze inside. It was not a good mix.
